Experienced. Dedicated. Problem solvers.
That’s how many partners describe our team, who are truly the heart and soul of Journeyman. They’ve driven our success for the past 30 years, and they’ll carry forward our tradition of excellence. Below is a snapshot of our leadership team. If you’re interested in joining the best of the best, drop us a line through the Contact page.
Meet the Team.
Sam Kumar
Sam is the visionary behind Journeyman's success. He founded the construction company in 1996 after many years working for another commercial contractor. Later, his entrepreneurial spirit led Journeyman into raising equity and developing its own projects. He is a proud Texas Longhorn, holding a Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Project Management from The University of Texas at Austin.
President
Kurt Goll
Kurt brings 30 years of multifamily experience to Journeyman. He graduated from Texas Tech University’s College of Architecture and, as a former Architect, he adds a unique ability to blend design and construction methods into every step of every project. He’s served as the architect of record or lead developer for more than 40 large-scale multifamily projects.
President, Multifamily
Pranav Kumar
Pranav supports the feasibility, financing, operations, and development of the firm’s projects. Prior to joining Journeyman, Pranav served as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps. He holds an MBA in Finance and Real Estate from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated as a Palmer Scholar, and a bachelor’s degree with honors from Vanderbilt University.
Vice President
David Gregorcyk
As the resident attorney, David leads Journeyman’s legal affairs and risk management. Prior to joining Journeyman in 2013, he practiced with a top-rated construction law firm, representing some of the largest and most successful commercial building contractors in Texas. David holds a BA from The University of Texas at Austin, a JD from St. Mary’s University, and is board certified in Construction Law by the State Bar of Texas.
Vice President, Risk Management
Cannon Kilde
Cannon didn’t climb the ladder at Journeyman - he built it. Starting as a superintendent, his incredible depth of construction knowledge and dedication to his projects didn't go unnoticed. He worked his way up to Vice President, where he now oversees all of Journeyman's construction projects. His hands-on background is what makes him so effective in his role today. Because he’s done the work himself, he knows exactly what it takes to get a project built right.
Vice President, Operations
Gary Willard
Gary got his start in the construction industry nearly 40 years ago as an estimator, where he sharpened his ability to schedule, see the full picture of a project, and plan ahead for the unexpected. From there, Gary moved quickly — advancing to Project Manager and continuing to grow. Today, as Vice President, he brings all of that experience to bear, leading the construction team and setting them up for success on every project. Gary holds a BS in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University.
Vice President
Britta Edwards
Britta brings a rare combination of deep industry knowledge and genuine warmth to her role as VP of Senior Living — and the people she serves feel the difference. With more than 20 years of experience in senior living, including serving as past chair of the Texas Assisted Living Association, Britta knows this world inside and out. But what truly sets her apart is how much she cares about getting it right.
